By accessing our website, enrolling in any course, making a payment, or using any of our Services, you (“Student,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
Eligibility and Account Registration:
Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in any course or use the Services. By enrolling, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
Account Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity occurring under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
Enrollment, Payments, and Refunds:
Fees and Payments: All course fees are displayed on our website or enrollment materials and must be paid in full, or according to an approved installment plan, prior to the course start date unless otherwise stated.
Payments are processed through third-party payment processors. You agree to comply with their applicable terms and conditions.
Refund & Cancellation Policy: Our Refund & Cancellation Policy, published separately on our website, is incorporated into these Terms by reference and governs all refunds and cancellations. Please review it carefully before enrolling.
Student Code of Conduct:
Acceptable Use: You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Copy, share, record, distribute, sell, publish, or publicly display any Academy materials without prior written consent
- Engage in abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or disruptive behavior toward instructors, staff, or other students
- Misrepresent your identity, plagiarize work, or violate academic integrity standards
- Attempt to interfere with, hack, or compromise the security or functionality of our platforms
Enforcement: Violation of this Code may result in suspension or termination of your access to the Services without refund, and may include legal action where appropriate.
Intellectual Property Rights
Academy Intellectual Property: All course content, curriculum, videos, software, code samples, presentations, trademarks, logos, and website materials (“Academy IP”) are owned by TAAS IT Academy or its licensors.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Academy IP solely for your personal, non-commercial educational use during your enrollment period.
Student Work: You retain ownership of your original work submitted as part of coursework (“Student Work”). By submitting Student Work, you grant TAAS IT Academy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use anonymized portions of such work for internal training, instructional, or promotional purposes, unless you notify us in writing that you wish to opt out.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability:
Services Provided “As Is”: The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or absolute security.
No Job or Immigration Guarantee: TAAS IT Academy does not guarantee job placement, salary levels, promotions, immigration benefits, OPT/CPT/STEM-OPT approvals, or any specific career outcome. Results depend on individual effort, qualifications, and market conditions.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, TAAS IT Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount of fees paid by you for the specific course giving rise to the claim.
Privacy: Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Accessibility: TAAS IT Academy is committed to providing accessible educational services. If you require reasonable accommodations due to a disability, please contact us so we may make good-faith efforts to assist.
Modifications and Termination:
Service Changes: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services, including course content, schedules, or instructors.
Updates to Terms: We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Termination: We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of these Terms.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution:
Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Mandatory Binding Arbitration: Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in Los Angeles County, California.
Class Action Waiver: You agree that disputes shall be resolved only on an individual basis, and not as part of any class, collective, or representative action.
Injunctive Relief: Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
Export Control and Sanctions Compliance:
You agree not to use the Services in violation of U.S. export control laws, economic sanctions, or other applicable regulations.
General Provisions:
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Refund & Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TAAS IT Academy.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, government actions, or pandemics.
